Use Branch Select to change the active branch before you start sales, receiving or reporting. Always confirm the branch change worked before entering transactions.
Before you start
- Make sure your user account is allowed to access the branch you want.
- Finish or pause any open transaction before switching context.
- Know which workflows you are about to run in the new branch.
Step-by-step guide
- Open Branch Select and choose the branch you need to work under.
- Confirm the switch completes and that the new branch is shown in the app context.
- Re-open the target module or page after the switch so it loads under the new branch.
- Only start sales, receiving or finance work after you are sure the branch changed successfully.
How to confirm it worked
- The active branch indicator shows the new branch.
- Stock, dashboard and transaction pages now reflect the new branch context.
- You are not accidentally posting transactions into the previous branch.
Common mistakes
- Starting work before checking that the branch actually switched.
- Changing branch in the middle of a live transaction.
- Assuming reports or stock pages refresh automatically without reopening them.
